mandatory life without parole...

i attended my first courtroom assignment today...
"Lamont Marshall was sentenced to mandatory life without parole on Wednesday, for the murder of Laurel Jean Ellis in 1975. A single drop of blood found on a tile near Ellis' body was saved for later examination when DNA testing would be developed. Recent advances in DNA testing linked the drop of blood to Marshall's DNA, and he was convicted, and sentenced. Marshall was also accused of murdering four other women around the same time, all in the Heritage Hill neighborhood of Grand Rapids."

i made a photo story, out of a car.

bach and blt's...

my window. (as seen by photoshop)

i believe two things came together in order for me to make this picture:
1. i've been helping my mom design her flash website, and i haven't had a chance to be outside making other pictures.
2. i have recently been checking out elyse butler's blog, and have been seriously influenced by her work...

damn those scientists in california! so much smarter than the rest of the states...

aw, the "old" days...

i found this photo while looking through my "photo booth" shots on my macbook. made me miss the old photo lab! david rees, chair of the photojournalism department at mu - being ridiculous, and sally morrow in the background - likely making fun of me for taking photographs with my computer.

3 irish festival shots that didn't make it in... but that i can't let go...
