surprise anti-drowning devices from my mom...

my mom told me a few days ago that she was nervous about me swimming in the pond by myself without a life preserver. she didn't believe me that i'm actually a good swimmer, and a few days later, these arrived. i'm 30 years old, and my mom is still trying to put me in swimmies. oh well. if i have to wear them, so does max! ;)

after smiling my butt off at the expressions (just perfect) I couldn't help but notice that water "depth" (a.k.a. mud height) in the pond might put you in greater danger of getting stuck on the clam flats at low tide!
